MONSTERWATCH

Welcome MONSTERWATCH to the GWY Galaxy!

Seattle’s MONSTERWATCH has been dominating the post-punk/garage scene for quite some time. Building an exciting repertoire through their highly captivating live shows, this raucous trio unleash a whirlwind of sound that commands their audience to move – whether they’re ready or not!

Their Greenway debut, “/\/\,” features two explosive tracks, delivering a raw, high-energy blast of distortion and adrenaline. Known for their frenetic shows and unfiltered sound, the band channels pure chaos into their first 7″, fusing breakneck riffs with anthemic hooks. “/\/\” proves once again why they’re considered one of the most electrifying forces in modern punk. Buckle up, cuz this one hits hard!

We’ve excited to have this limited 7″ pressed up on ‘Up The Middle’ 50/50 Vinyl and there are only 100 copies!

/\/\ is out March 7th

Primitive Ring . CR - Kaz Mirblouk

Welcome Primitive Ring to the GWY Galaxy!

We are beyond stoked to welcome Los Angeles power trio Primitive Ring to the Greenway family.

Primitive Ring consists of Bert Hoover (Hooveriii, GROOP), Jon Modaff (JModaff, Hooveriii, GROOP), and Charles Moothart (Fuzz, GØGGS). The three LA based musicians found each other in a collective state of high functioning de evolution, and collectively agreed to bend the knee to the primal instincts of melody and rhythm. Primitive Ring started when the three members realized their worlds were organically converging. Seeking a new well to pitch the mental bucket in search of creative fluidity, the choice became obvious: start a new band. “Bring in the new” is not to say “Out with the old”. It is to continue the story and elaborate on the plot.

A band of three individuals (ring) tapping in to their collective sound (ring) to form a solid bond (ring) in which to burn away superfluous modernity (ring). Rock and roll is for everyone and belongs to no one.

“In The Ground / Golden In Your Eyes” represent some of the very first recordings as a group and damn do they hit the gas pedal strait out the gate!

We’ve got this limited 7″ pressed on ‘Primitive Ground’ Green Swirl Vinyl and there are only 100 copies.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers BONEHEAD - COVER ART - 3000px (1) i-candy

Frankie and the Witch Fingers Release New Singles ‘Bonehead’ & ‘i-Candy’

Frankie and the Witch Fingers have marked their triumphant return with “Bonehead” & “i-Candy,” their first new offering since last year’s landmark LP Data Doom.

‘Bonehead’ is a primitive, buzzy thumper, raw and stripped down,” the band says. “In a world where it’s easy to add more, we had a blast cooking out the junk and keeping it potent and pure. We wanted to capture the chaotic energy of those unfiltered live moments. Recorded the basics in one take, warts and all. Thrashing around with a crowd of free spirits reminds us we can push back against the parasitic noise trying to keep us controlled—this is a little slice of that in recorded form”

After the release of the brutally raw “Bonehead,” Frankie and the Witch Fingers continue to preview their new music by sharing the double AA side single, “i-Candy,” which premiered October 8th on KEXP’s Midday Show. “i-Candy” kicks off with a synth- induced groove that turns into full-on relentless riffs, soundtracking an objectified robot’s vengeance.

“Bleeps and bloops tightly wound around a precise dystopian punk nodder, these were the magic digits we needed to punch in to bring ‘i-Candy’ to life,” the band explains. “This was one of the first songs to emerge from the incubator of recent demos. ‘i-Candy’ is a female sex robot, she isn’t programmed for any man’s need; she’s out to clean up the streets and settle the score in blood.”

“i-Candy” and “Bonehead” are just the first taste of the band’s upcoming new work. “Bonehead” was named Consequence’s Heavy Song of the Week, with Jon Hadusek saying, “The Cramps-y riffs are sped up and played with grit, and the vocals waver naturally around the melody as if they’re sung by someone backed by the loose energy of a raucous rock n’ roll band.” Look out for more news on upcoming music, and catch the band live at their headline tour dates and festivals this fall.

Nice Biscuit Release New Album SOS!

We are stoked to announce SOS, the sophomore album from Nice Biscuit. This release reflects on the seemingly impossible feat of finding calm and balance in a chaotic world and the many emotive responses that embroil. Sometimes we feel hopeful and grateful, pessimistic and desolate, mournful and angry, sometimes we feel that love can solve it all and sometimes we just become overwhelmed and apathetic about everything. SOS captures these shifts as each song swings between poignant, apoplectic and optimistic lyricism and instrumentation. With SOS, Nice Biscuit have continued to evolve their songwriting and arrive at a more succinct and focused outcome with emphasis on, driving grooves and rhythmic repetition layered with catchy vocal hooks. SOS was released on October 4th 2024 via The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records in North America and Fuzz Club / Bad Vibrations in Europe.
