Welcome Brooklynโs Dead Tooth & Tea Eater to the GWY Galaxy!
We are so stoked to bring you two brand new 7โs to the Greenway Galaxy! These are some of our favorite local artists and we are so excited to be able to bring their music to your turntables (on beautiful wax of course).
The first up is Booklynโs ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ก and their Greenway debut 7โ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ก๐จ๐จ, pressed up on โSweet Toothโ Black & Blue Swirl Vinyl & Limited to 100 copies!
Side A is the crowd-favored, sax-laden, art-punk odyssey โBirthday Boohooโ – a five-minute long, groove heavy high-energy assault on the senses thatโll leave you with a sore neck and some debilitating synesthesia. Produced by Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf, Juliana Hatfield) the track weaves psych-rock, post-punk ย and jazz into a frazzled narrative about the horrors of encountering your own surprise birthday party on a heroic dose of mushrooms.
The B-Day B-Side, a demonic remix byย ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฌ, pulls you deeper into said hellish trip with a soundscape like something John Carpenter cooked up in an acid lab.
Pre-order Dead Tooth’s “Birthday Boohoo” now!
Next up is NYCโs ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ and their Greenway debut 7โ โ๐๐๐๐ก๐ง๐ข๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก ๐/๐ฐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ญ๐กโ and itโs limited to 100 copies on โTechnicolor Rashโ Splatter Vinyl!
No oneโs more fun in the post (or present) apocalypse than Tea Eater. Fronted by Tarra Thiessen of Gustafย and Sharkmuffin, the New York City-based art punk band has made significant waves with frenetic performances, surf-rock-on-Neptune grooves and sucker punch tracks about hating the DMV.
Tea Eater have made a name in the Brooklyn music scene & beyond with their energetic shows & DIY drive. Since 2022 they have toured extensively; opening for Thee Oh Sees, releasing a split 7โ with Chicago rockers Waltzer, touring the east coast/midwest, and completing a month long UK/EU tour including Kaltern Pop Festival, Cinetol Festival in Amsterdam, and headlining shows in Paris, Angers, Berlin and London.
Tea Eater started 2024 with the release of a remix of โCosmic Coconutโ by David Sound Wizardย on a limited-edition star-shaped 7-inch vinyl. In February they had a residency in LA. In July they released an alternate version of “Fuck the DMV” and a cover of Liam Lynchโs “United States of Whatever” exclusively on Bandcamp, donating all sales to the NY Coalition for the Homeless. They toured the Midwest on their way to Mothlandโs Distorsion Festival in Montreal. Additionally, Tea Eater released 7 music videos for songs off of their first record,ย Obsession. This October, they are set to release two new singles with Greenway Records before embarking on a 3 week European tour.
